The publication is a story about the experience of music and dance. About music – its rhythm, repetitiveness; about its shapes and colors. About the dance trance and its healing power.
Book Description:
The publication is a story about the experience of music and dance. About the dance trance, in which music ceases to be received with the ears and begins to be listened to with the body, which in the collective of other bodies becomes the last element of the vibration-carrying system that has its origin in the gramophone needle. About music – its rhythm, tempo and repetition; shapes, layers, textures and colors. Emotions flowing from music, sensations somewhere on the border of java and dream, and its ability to awaken something tribally primal in us and connect us to something transcendent. Finally – about the healing power drawn from surrendering to musical energy. For the production of the zine, we used printing on metallized paper, which gave the effect of a unique depth of color – the result obtained attracts the eye and tempts one to stay with it longer; it encourages one to get closer, almost “touch” the textures that have been captured in the photos, and gives the impression of a slightly different interaction with the image.
